Sophie is studying statistics, data science, and social entrepreneurship at the University of Virginia, and she is from Ridgefield, Connecticut. Inspired by one of her high school statistics teachers, she is passionate about how we can analyze data trends to predict outcomes and make actionable recommendations in a range of industries. Sophie is hopeful that as she learns and grows, she can use this passion for data to help a cause bigger than herself. Sophie genuinely believes in what Biokind is doing, and she is excited about the opportunity to make a lasting change for healthcare nonprofits that need it most. Sophie has experience working with R, Python, and SAS, utilizing a variety of data cleaning, summarization, regression and analysis techniques to describe data. She is excited to continue working with Biokind to expand her statistics background and gain meaningful real world experience.
