UVA Spring 2024 Teams

The leadership of Biokind Analytics changed this semester at the University of Virginia because of the new calendar year. The organization and its three projects were led by Elias Lahrim (‘25) and Isabella Binder (‘24). Read about our teams for the spring 2024 semester below!


Team ALS Association x Biokind, pictured on the top (left to right) are Matthew Schlueter (‘27), team leader Gayathri Kavitha (‘26), Ryan Goudjil (‘26), and Caroline Rich (‘25). In the middle row (left to right) are Evan Smith (‘25), Paul Jeter (Territory Executive), and Jennifer Mundy (Managing Director of Care Services). On the bottom (left to right) are Lisa Bruening (Director of Care Services, Northern Ohio) and Janet Thorn (Managing Director of Care Services, Mid-South Territory). The goal of this project was to comprehend how successful the ALS Association is at meeting both patient and volunteer needs.



There was a second Team ALS Association x Biokind, pictured (left to right) are team leader Camille Hollis (‘25), Zara Kotadiya (‘26), Ajay Prabhakar (‘25), Abhinav Pappu (‘27), and Tanner Drew (‘25). The goal of this project was to analyze donor demographics, retention rate, and changes in donations over time.



Team Operation Happy Nurse x Biokind, pictured on the top (left to right) are Irene Si (‘26), team lead Bharathi Thambidurai (‘26), and Khushi Mehta (‘26). On the bottom (left to right) are Shannon McPeek (Founder and CEO) and Diane Hountz (Clinical Associate Professor at Purdue University). Two team members not shown are Maya Betts (‘24) and Cole Dillaplain (‘24). The goal of this project was to look into the effect that Operation Happy Nurse has on individuals and highlight information on user demographics.
