UVA Fall 2023 Teams

Biokind Analytics has expanded to the University of Virginia, where the local organization is thriving with 21 members and three nonprofit projects led by Sophie Reale (‘24) and Celia Dolan (‘24). Read about our teams for the fall 2023 semester below!


Team Make-a-Wish Greater Virginia x Biokind, pictured on the top (left to right) are Khushi Mehta (‘26) and Jenna Peterson (Volunteer Coordinator). In the middle row (left to right) are Ajay Prabhakar (‘25), Gayathri Kavitha (‘26) and Ryan Goudjil (‘26). On the bottom (left to right) are Matthew Schlueter (‘27) and team leader Celia Dolan (‘24). The goal of this project was to help Make-a-Wish Greater Virginia better understand the demographics of their volunteers and be able to improve upon strategies to reach prospective volunteers.

In the middle row (left to right) are Caroline Rich (‘25), Isabella Binder (‘24) and Bharathi Thambidurai (‘26). On the bottom (left to right) are Tanner Drew (‘25) and Amy Yarcich (Executive Director). Not pictured is Irene Si (‘26). This team analyzed the thoroughness of coverage for diseases like sexual health, diabetes, and respiratory ailments, identified any undersupplied areas, and correlated medication distribution with regional disease prevalence.


Team Autism Society of Central Virginia (ASCV) x Biokind, pictured on the top (left to right) are Evan Smith (‘25), co-team leader Maya Betts (‘24) and Elias Lahrim (‘25). In the middle row (left to right) are Ann Flippin (Executive Director), Zara Kotadiya (‘26) and Anjali Mehta (‘25). On the bottom is Abhinav Pappu (‘27). Not pictured is co-team leader Cole Dillaplain (‘24). This partnership focused on using data to visually demonstrate the growing needs and demands of those with autism in Virginia to prospective donors and community partners.
