On Friday, April 14th, seven teams presented their long-awaited projects at the Biokind Final Evaluation. Five of these teams are from the Rice University chapter with the other two being the chapter founders teams. The chapter founders teams represented ten other universities.
The teams showed the work they had completed for their respective non-profits – each team having their own unique compilation of data visualizations and data analysis. In attendance giving feedback to these presentations were Dr. Kowal and Dr. McGuffey from the Department of Statistics and Dr. Jyotikrishna Dass from the Data to Knowledge Lab (D2K).
Here are some pictures from the event:
As the semester comes to an end, the teams are in the process of revising and presenting their final projects to their non-profits. The end of the semester also marks the end of the first year of Biokind Analytics. Biokind has had the opportunity to work with 16 organizations and coordinate 14 projects.
We are grateful for the continuous support we receive in achieving our goal of helping local non-profits.
